Legend says hundreds of years ago, there was a powerful but sinister
mage named Jack. He was sent to hell after his death, but he was so evil
that hell rejected him. He was cursed to wonder the Earth forever
carrying a pumpkin lantern.
Since he made so many enemies during
his life, the souls of his enemies came flooding back out from hell to
destroy Jack. He made the Haunted Visage and Haunted Edge to combat
those souls. With each soul Jack defeats, the weapons trap the souls
inside, gaining increased strength from them. However, Jack was finally
defeated, and his equipment disappeared. Everyone was surprised when
they appeared hundred years later in Magerealm, wonder who will be their
new master?
